The UAE is home to some of the world’s most exquisite architecture, having established one of the most successful luxury real estate markets on the planet. As Managing Director of Sales and Development at DAMAC Properties, it has been my privilege to see this sector mature and flourish, offering a diverse selection of homes, commercial premises and amenities to suit every conceivable taste.

Quality has always been a priority for DAMAC Properties. Every project we develop is designed to meet exacting standards, exceeding the expectations of our customers and adding genuine value to the markets in which we operate. With this in mind, it was extremely difficult to pick out specific projects for this article – I love them all!

Nevertheless, there are certain developments that hold a special place in my heart. So, after a considerable amount of soul-searching, here are my favourite DAMAC Properties projects (and why).

DAMAC Bay by Cavalli

Launched at the beginning of this year, DAMAC Bay by Cavalli will be an elegant 42-storey residential tower located in Dubai Harbour. Designed in collaboration with Roberto Cavalli, this stunning tower is being developed on our Emirate’s world-famous coastline, offering buyers an opportunity to enjoy luxurious beachfront living. In fact, the towers have been designed to ensure that all sides offer sea views, meaning every resident will be treated to majestic scenes of the Arabian Gulf. DAMAC Bay by Cavalli ranks among my favourite projects because of its incredible location and stunning design.

DAMAC Hills

DAMAC Hills makes my list due to its world-class amenities. Located in the heart of Dubai, this bustling self-contained community features a broad selection of luxury villas and apartments as well as premium hospitality offerings. With four million square feet of parkland and themed areas for relaxation, not to mention a skate park, stables, a football field, tennis courts and much more, this development is perfect for people like me who love to stay active and entertained.

DAMAC Lagoons

One of my absolute favourites, DAMAC Lagoons is a beautiful complex designed to deliver all the advantages of beachfront living within a thriving master community. What makes this development truly unique is that each of its clusters will be themed around a different international location, offering residents the opportunity to explore the world on their doorstep. Fancy taking in some charming French architecture? No problem, just take a trip to Nice. In the market for a Mediterranean-inspired villa or townhouse? Check out Morocco. Perhaps luxury waterfront living is more your speed? Look no further than Venice. With additional clusters themed around Andalusia, Costa Brava, Ibiza, Malta, Marbella, Monte Carlo, Mykonos, Portofino and Santorini, DAMAC Lagoons really does have something to suit every taste.

DAMAC Tower Nine Elms London

Another world-class luxury collaboration, DAMAC Tower Nine Elms London is tailor-made to cater to residents with sophisticated tastes. With interiors designed by Versace, the development’s lavish apartments perfectly complement their exciting metropolitan surroundings. Thanks to its 50 storeys of beautiful studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, DAMAC Tower Nine Elms London is ideal for individuals, couples and families looking to immerse themselves in the UK’s capital. For me, the combination of styling by Versace and panoramic views of one of the world’s most iconic cities makes this a firm favourite.

Mandarin Oriental Bolidhuffaru Reef

The final entry on my list is the Mandarin Oriental Bolidhuffaru Reef, a 34-hectare luxury resort spread across a group of breathtaking private islands in the Maldives. Scheduled to open in 2025, this stunning development will feature 130 beachfront and overwater villas, a selection of fine dining venues, and indoor and outdoor spaces for events such as weddings. Developed by DAMAC Properties and operated by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, this project completes my list thanks to the unparalleled levels of privacy, exclusivity and luxury it will offer.

Compiling this list was incredibly difficult because each of DAMAC Properties’ projects is designed to deliver something special. What’s more, my ‘favourite’ projects are constantly changing as our talented team develops new offerings to meet the evolving lifestyle needs of our customers.

So, who knows? Perhaps I’ll revisit this list at some point in the future to see how many of these developments keep their place in my top five.
